1. To generate ideas and then to develop a project plan for a future participatory action research project that can then be submitted to funders.

2. To investigate a well-articulated health-related research question, and then to share our finding with the community so that it can take action on the health issue in the future.

3. To fund health research that is led solely by a research institution.

4. To try to influence or change directly the systemic behaviours that have created the pressing health issue or that are holding that issue in place.

Activities and projects that take place, or benefit communities, primarily outside of BC

Endowment funds or capital campaigns

Operating deficits or after-the-fact support

Large public infrastructure projects

Individuals

Activities deemed not charitable as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
